Tampering with Evidence and Running from Law Enforcement | Charges Dropped

Our client was charged with running from the police (on a bicycle) and ditching a baggie of marijuana during the chase. The police never found any marijuana. They had no good reason to chase him in the first place. The defense went about constructing legal arguments with respect to the illegal actions of the police that night. We then presented our Constitutional arguments to the prosecutor who was going to be making the charging decision. As a result of our arguments, the State elected not to file formal charges.
