DUI & Felony Drug Possession – Charges Dropped

Our client was in a single car crash off of I-95 in St. Lucie County. The trooper found E.W. slumped over the steering wheel in her vehicle without any noticeable injuries.  Xanax pills were also found in the vehicle.  The law enforcement officer had E.W. perform field sobriety exercises and take a breath test. Her breath test reading was below the legal limit (.08) and we were able to document a lawful prescription for the pills found in the vehicle. After a friendly series of negotiations with the prosecutor, a resolution was agreed upon.  Our client entered into an agreement for a reckless driving charge and one (1) year of probation. The felony drug charge and DUI were both dropped.
